Pre-sales Breakdown: $2.3M AUG 14 FRI Opening Day $1.7M AUG 15 SAT $992k AUG 16 SUN As always, note that the pre-sales cume above doesn’t include $7.6M from the 4 rounds of limited previews from AUG 01, 02, 08 & 09 limited previews, so the film has already $12.6M already in the can. Keep in mind that right now only 36k screenings are open for bookings for its AUG 14 FRI Opening Day, so pre-sales’ pacing will keep growing the more screenings are made available. INCREDIBLE WOM, receiving an 9.7⭐️ score from ticket buyers on Maoyan, equivalent to an A+ Cinemascore! TheOdyssey could genuinely challenge TENET as the biggest Nolan hit, and also challenge F1 & maybe even FreeGuy as the biggest Non-franchise Hollywood hit in China. Like Oppenheimer 3 years ago, TheOdyssey will also get a more “limited” release in China under 60k screenings, but with most of them being PLF screenings. In a normal environment, pre-sales would indicate a 50M+ opening, but due to screening limitations, a $30M-$40M 3-day opening could be in the cards, what would still be one of the biggest Post-Covid for Hollywood and by far the biggest in Nolan’s career, potentially beating his TENET’s 3-day weekend & Oppenheimer’s 5-day opening records. #ChristopherNolan
