@kelpindigo_Folks, this is Brazil's HDI-M (Municipal Human Development Index) in 2000 compared to that of 2024. Graphs available on Wikipedia. 8 of the 10 states with the largest increase in the HDI-M index are in the Northeast. All states saw an increase in the HDI-M index compared to 2000. For you, it may not have changed much, but you can be sure it has changed (for the better) for many people. (the value inside the states is their position in the national ranking)

This is a side-by-side comparison of two maps of Brazil, illustrating changes in the Human Development Index (IDH) from 2000 to 2024. The maps use color-coding to represent different classifications of IDH, ranging from "Muito Baixo" (Very Low) to "Muito Alto" (Very High). The legend shows the color scale and corresponding IDH ranges. The overall mood is informative and data-driven, presented in a clear, infographic style. The most notable visual element is the stark contrast in color distribution between the two years, indicating significant shifts in development across Brazil. ON-SCREEN TEXT: Classificações de IDHM 0,800 - 1,000 (Muito Alto) 0,799 - 0,700 (Alto) 0,699 - 0,600 (Médio) 0,599 - 0,500 (Baixo) 0,499 - 0,00
