GTA 6 Leonida map and NPC details (photo 2 of 2)

@GamebroAaron Garbut has apparently been exploring GTA 6 for years and still stumbles onto corners he hasn't seen yet, which tells you more about the Leonida map than any spec sheet could. The landmass comes in at roughly double GTA 5's, and stacked up it lands close to the combined area of GTA 4, GTA 5 and RDR2. Interiors jump to an estimated ten times what earlier entries offered. What matters more is that none of it is gated: Leonida opens up early, so heading north without touching the story is on the table from the start. The street level is where this gets interesting. Rockstar put together around 600,000 animations for NPCs, and every one of them runs on a personality that shapes aggression, behavior and reactions. Hold eye contact a beat too long and a fight can kick off. Carry a weapon where people can see it and their unease climbs, in hand or holstered either way. Rob somebody and the victim might fight back while bystanders decide to get involved. Smells in a location pull different levels of disgust out of the character model, and in the demo Jason's face wrinkled as he backed out of a dirty house with no scripted scene doing the work. The weather system has its own logic. Days, nights and sunsets all stretch out significantly longer. Clouds move independently, pushed by wind, humidity, fog and season. A storm forming in the distance can send its rain traveling across the map, and roads and buildings soak and dry at their own separate rates. Wind drives waves, boats and aircraft, with severe storms capable of damaging planes and helicopters. NPCs go hunting for shelter when it turns. Highways and roads read narrower and closer to real than GTA 5's did. Jason and Lucia sit on a four-level relationship system you can actually influence, and the small stuff counts: walking together, bike rides, gym sessions, driving around. Rockstar won't say whether marriage is in. The Criminal Profile grades your actions anywhere from Professional to Unredeemable and bends the story accordingly, and enemies can be scared or incapacitated rather than killed. Some missions require money in hand before they unlock. Police attention reads your appearance, clothing, weapons, camera footage and whether you have a partner along. New clothes, a dropped gun, splitting up, and escape becomes possible. Expensive rides can hide GPS trackers that call in your position. Cops bring spike strips and dogs that pin you down and restrain you. On the way out your partner can drive while you shoot at the pursuit. Carjackings split both ways, some drivers surrendering and others reaching for a weapon. Traffic can throw a street race invitation at you out of nowhere. Buses and trains run set routes on schedules. Scooter Bros brings your own vehicle to you in seconds for a fee. Weapons stay in the trunk. Every vehicle shows fuel and engine condition, and one tank covers a long haul. Money comes from store and jewelry robberies or stolen cars, and WAINK lists vehicles the underworld wants, security and tracking noted, with payment shifting based on condition when you hand them over. Smaller bits: Jason can smoke from inventory, coffee boosts stamina and protein drinks boost health, and in Edge's gameplay session he lifted a pump-action shotgun from an empty police car. Research started back in 2015 in Miami under Rob Nelson. Rockstar says the game is ready for release.

A woman is the focus, posing with her hand on her sunglasses. The mood is edgy and futuristic, with vibrant neon lighting in pink and blue hues. Her braided hair and nose ring are notable details.
