@mickatthemoviesWhat stuck with me about Good Luck Chuck is how Cameron never feels like a stock rom-com lead. Jessica Alba played her as a marine biologist who loves penguins, clumsy in a way that's endearing rather than played for cheap laughs, and free-spirited enough that the quirkiness reads as a personality instead of a checklist. She's the love interest for Charlie, a dentist, and his romantic situation takes a turn nobody quite saw coming. The 2007 film works because Alba's charisma feels effortless and playful, carrying the sweetness and the humor and the awkwardness all at once. Plenty of funny, warm, genuinely memorable moments come out of that, and honestly the character is a big reason the movie lingers.
