The top countries in the world by total number of airports have been ranked. The United States leads by a huge margin with 16,116 airports. Brazil comes in second with 5,297, followed by Australia (2,257), Mexico (1,580), Canada (1,459), France (1,218), the United Kingdom (1,057), Russia (905), Germany (840), and Argentina (764). The ranking continues with Colombia (661), Italy (655), South Africa (573), Papua New Guinea (569), and China rounding out the top 15 with 5 airports. #Travel
