Apollo vs Soyuz LOK LK lander

During the 1960s space race, various landing methods were developed. Apollo used a dedicated Lunar Module to land two astronauts on the Moon while the command module remained in orbit. The Soviet Soyuz LOK with its LK lander took a single cosmonaut to the surface via a direct-ascent approach, but was never tested with a crew.
