WHY DO I GET COMPLIMENTS FROM OLDER WOMEN, BUT MOST PEOPLE MY AGE CALL ME UGLY OR NOT FIND ME ATTRACTIVE?

I 21M usually get compliments from women who are 30-40's and up, multiple older women have called me cute and even older guys have said I'm attractive and one girl near my age has even saved a photo of me in her phone for literal YEARS, yet many people my age call me ugly or don't find me attractive. It's happened throughout my life. Why does this happen?
