Liane Moriarty on Laura Dern and Renata Klein

Laura Dern's performance as Renata Klein forced Liane Moriarty to completely reshape the character for the sequel 'Big Little Truths'. In the original book, Renata only held a relatively minor role, but after seeing Dern bring such magnificence to the part, Moriarty had no choice but to expand her prominence significantly. This decision highlights exactly how an actor's portrayal can dictate the trajectory of a story in a follow-up installment. #LauraDern
