Grayson Waller on New Day split and NXT

Grayson Waller says he's finally able to show his true self seriously in NXT because this work actually means something to him now. It isn't a joke anymore. Back when he was with New Day, the presentation they wanted didn't let him be serious or show them who he really is. They were out there wearing silly hats and just mucking around with jokes. Waller clarifies he never got the chance to show them his real identity since they wanted a different vibe entirely. Even though things ended, he insists neither side did anything wrong. He didn't do the wrong thing and they didn't either. They simply didn't see what they wanted while he couldn't give them that specific version of himself. That is just how the business works when sometimes the ships sail a different way. He calls it an opportunity to work with one of history's best tag teams. He loves the New Day and cannot explain how much those guys did for his career. He has total respect for them and never intends to be derogatory toward them at all.
