The Silver River — Thousands of Barracuda Forming Perfect Spiral Vortex From Above

A school of barracuda forms a tornado shape as a defensive behavior — the spiral confuses predators with constantly changing silver light reflections that make it impossible to focus on any individual fish. The behavior requires no leader and no communication beyond each fish maintaining its position relative to its immediate neighbors.
