Men of Honor Carl Brashear

Half of y'all still haven't pressed play on Men of Honor and it's honestly wild. Hollywood would rather keep remaking safe stories than sit with what's already sitting right there. This film follows Carl Brashear, the first Black Navy Master Diver, a Black sharecropper's son who looked at the fleet and picked the job that wrecks bodies for a living. 1950s Navy, Jim Crow era, all of it. Diving breaks you physically, but he wasn't about to let it take his rank too. Losing a leg didn't end his career either, he fought his way back into it. And by the end, the Navy had to rewrite its own rules because of him. That's the blueprint Hollywood keeps ignoring.
