Red Velvet Yeri Seulgi 2016 car accident

The news called a 2016 taxi accident minor, but Red Velvet members Yeri and Seulgi say the reality was nowhere near that. Yeri explained she sustained significant injuries during the crash, noting that her eye whites turned completely red and burst while her eyeball appeared sunken. She agonized over whether or not to have surgery for what felt like a very minor issue, yet she decided against it and is just living with the injury now. Seulgi reported seeing Yeri bleeding at the scene but noted her own injuries were not serious. The collision occurred while the vehicle was turning a curve, causing Yeri to be thrown forward while the driver and Seulgi experienced less impact than she did. Both members developed trauma related to cars after the incident, with Yeri describing the severity as somewhere in between Russian Roulette activities or something similar. She was hospitalized for an extended period following the event, highlighting the discrepancy between media reports calling it minor and her actual condition where she was seriously injured when it wasn't minor at all.
