Casemiro left, Carrick is still around, the nickname is still around, the winning run is not. one draw at Fulham, two goals up at home against Brighton before going out of the cup, and a league position down in 19th. scholes reckons the manager cannot recreate that stretch because it depended on one midfielder who never seemed to get bored or worn down. the name went on the manager. it should have gone on the man who walked out the door.
