Gary Neville discusses United financial loss

The stadium banner still reads The Reds Go Marching On, but the accounts tell a different story. Gary Neville pointed out that United generated a record £677.6m in revenue without playing a single Champions League or Europa match. Even with full crowds and fan payments coming in, the club posted a £43m loss. That figure is worse than the £33m deficit from the previous year. The paradox is stark: higher income alongside a bigger hole when Europe was absent. Neville called Keano to ask how missing out on European competition while posting record money could result in losing more than the year before. Keano's response was simple: read the numbers again. The reality is £677.6m came in and £43m went out the other side. The figures landed and the loss grew despite the ground being full. You took record money, you weren't in Europe, and you lost more than last year. That march doesn't show up in these accounts.
