Macklemore Free Palestine tour announcement

Macklemore has officially announced a tour centered on the Free Palestine movement. In the statement, he points out that collective awareness regarding Palestinian liberation has grown significantly over the past three years. He identifies an active attempt by billionaires to censor calls for Palestinian liberation and argues that remaining apolitical during a genocide is no longer viable in 2026. People now expect artists to educate themselves, engage with their communities, and utilize their platforms beyond entertainment. Macklemore indicated he faced silencing attempts when advocating for Free Palestine and argued that billionaire class control over stage access affects all voices. What happened to him is bigger than one artist or one stage. When the billionaire class can decide which voices are allowed on stage and which ones are too dangerous to hear, everyone should be paying attention.
