Spielberg Schinders List Jurassic Park Babe

It is a documented fact that Steven Spielberg directed Schindler's List in Poland in 1993, but the conditions on those cold, grim locations caused him severe emotional distress. To manage his mental state during that period, he utilized satellite feeds to approve visual effects for Jurassic Park in the evenings, including the specific sequence of a T-Rex attacking jeeps. Robin Williams called Spielberg weekly to tell jokes and help alleviate his gloom while this heavy work continued. This pattern appears elsewhere in cinema history as well. George Miller directed three consecutive Mad Max films before 1992, yet he experienced burnout from the violence and psychological trauma of the Mad Max trilogy. Afterward, Miller wrote and directed the film Babe as an escape following the Mad Max series, creating a movie about a polite, talking pig. Directors often face mental breaking points when working with bleak material. Creative palates may crave a completely different extreme after exposure to torture chambers or apocalyptic settings.
