San Siro sold to Milan and Inter

AC Milan and Inter have gone and bought San Siro outright, paying the Milan City Council 197 MILLION EUROS for the ground and the land around it. That green light for a replacement is already in hand, with a capacity sitting at roughly 71,500, and the design work falls to Norman Foster and David Manica, the same minds behind Wembley. Since 1947 this place has been home to both clubs, and the nights it has hosted sit among the most legendary the sport has known. Now the final stretch begins. The current structure gets demolished, and something new rises in its place. SAN SIRO HAS COUNTED DOWN ITS DAYS! GOODBYE. NEW STADIUM. SAN SIRO WILL BE DEMOLISHED TO MAKE WAY FOR A NEW ERA.
