The 39-year-old Argentine Lionel Messi just netted a free-kick for Inter Miami, pushing his career tally to 931 goals. Only he could have pulled off a strike like that; he is the idol of a generation who rewrote football history and the most complete player ever. He needs exactly 69 more goals to hit 1,000. Anyone claiming otherwise is deceiving themselves because he is undeniably the GOAT.
