Manchester City 115 of 116 allegations verdict

The independent Premier League Commission has ruled on Manchester City, and the numbers are lopsided: 115 of the 116 financial allegations against the club were confirmed, covering incidents from the 2009/10 season through 2017/18. What the Commission found is not a paperwork slip. Commercial partners were tied to 'fictitious' contracts that, per the ruling, pumped up revenues and trimmed costs. Accounts went in wrong. Auditors and regulatory bodies were kept in the dark about the club's real financial position. Spending limits from both the Premier League and UEFA were significantly exceeded. Then there is the cooperation piece. Three of the four alleged violations on that front were confirmed, with the club failing to meet its obligations of cooperation and good faith with the Premier League on multiple occasions during the investigation. Years of investigating, and a verdict is finally here. Pep Guardiola's thoughtful look in that collage says plenty. #PepGuardiola
