Megyn Kelly comments on Olivia Rodrigo

The suggestion that it is better to keep your mouth shut and let people suspect you are an idiot than to open it and prove them right landed on Olivia Rodrigo after she defended a victim at Cornell. Megyn Kelly told the singer to leave the discussion entirely, claiming she does not know what she is talking about regarding the situation. The host advised Rodrigo to stop speaking and focus on singing instead, noting a preference for her past musical style over current public statements. Kelly expressed liking her better when she was in front of a microphone singing weird little depressing songs rather than commenting on events. The instruction to be quiet and go away was delivered alongside a note that Kelly plans to see the artist at her concert.
