Randy Manner on USS Abraham Lincoln letter

🇺🇸 A viral letter from a USS Abraham Lincoln sailor claims the carrier ran out of food after 4 months and lived on rations for the next 6 The chief petty officer’s letter circulating online describes the Lincoln burning through its food in four months, then six months of special rations, and claims an admiral told the crew there was no clear objective and no plan from the Pentagon. Retired Army Maj. Gen. Randy Manner won’t vouch for the letter, but he was on Army staff when the Walter Reed scandal broke and remembers what accountability looked like: “Own it, fix it, and move on.” Back then the Army chief of staff owned the failure publicly and Manner was assigned to fix it within 30 days, so the test now is whether anyone in the chain does the same for a carrier almost eight months into a war with no end date.
