Cesc Fabregas admits tactical error

Cesc Fabregas, the coach of Como, is owning a tactical slip-up that cost his team against Manchester United. Leading 4-0, he ordered his squad to slow the pace and manage their energy for future games, but the move backfired when they conceded a goal after dropping their defensive line intensity. Fabregas admitted full responsibility for the decision and the resulting setback. He recalled specifically telling Tasos Douvikas to stop running and hold position in midfield, only to realize later that lowering the intensity was a mistake. The coach noted that he is usually the first person demanding a fight until the final whistle, so seeing the ball hit the net hurt him personally. That specific goal stung because it happened right after the instruction to ease up, yet he accepted that the error was entirely on his shoulders. It wasn't just a bad call; it was a direct violation of his usual philosophy to keep attacking even when ahead.
