Travis Knight LAIKA on generative AI

LAIKA's films won't be touched by generative AI, per Travis Knight. His reasoning is blunt: he calls the tech theft, a process of swallowing up years upon years of human creativity and ingenuity and spitting it back out. What comes out, in his view, carries no humanity and no spirit. A studio built on painstaking stop-motion drawing that line makes sense scene to scene.
