#Wildwood CinemaScore A grade

Strong hold for LaikaStudios’s PG-13 artsy animation Wildwood at US BoxOffice! Distributed by Fathom, it grossed 1.4M on BIGGEST WED ever for Laika, just a -30% drop from TUE Discount Day (vs MissingLink’s 531k, -36.8%, TheBoxTrolls’s 637k, -26.1%, Coraline’s 696k, -10.6%, KuboAndTheTwoStrings’ 929k, -38.8%, ParaNorman’s 1.2M, -31.5%). It hits a 17.1M cume in the U.S. in 6 days The hope is that strong WOM & awards season keep the original animation alive both in the U.S. & overseas to, along with revenue generated from international distribution rights’ sales. recoup at least part of its pricey 100M production price tag not including marketing.
