Clayface secured the #1 spot at the US BoxOffice for its first full week, riding a wave of positive word-of-mouth that kept it ahead of the pack. As the DCU's inaugural body horror entry and a CBM Horror starring TomRhysHarries, the R-rated film pulled in 1.9M on THU despite a 9.5% dip from WED. The competition saw Smile at 2.1M (-13.3%), BirdsOfPrey at 1.8M (-2.5%), BlackPhone2 at 1.7M (-11%), TheExorcistBeliever and OtherMommy both landing at 1.3M with drops of 9.5% and 21.8% respectively, while KravenTheHunter trailed significantly with just 544k and a steep 23.8% fall. Released October 23, this project carried a 44M production budget excluding marketing costs and has already accumulated 33.7M in the United States after seven days.
