Control Resonant combat

von 🔫 Not A Real Sugar: Gaming

The weapon in Control Resonant is called the Aberrant. It functions as a supernatural and shape shifting melee weapon. The game's combat reminded Anthony Taormina, GameRant's Editor in Chief, of Final Fantasy 16. Are you going to play Control Remnant from Remedy Games?

Yeah, so it's similar to Final Fantasy 16 with a dodge. There's a perfect dodge where you're lifting enemies into the air, but you aren't trying to build a combo meter. You aren't like getting graded on your ability to, you know, chain combos. It's mostly about survival. It was mixing in, okay, I'm gonna, I'm gonna like use my melee attack and you can, you can change the form of the aberrant. You can pick in the menu. You can have like a two little daggers. It's so the aberrant for those who maybe haven't seen it it's like this kind of like piece of metal it doesn't really look like anything but then it turns into various forms so it can turn into like little daggers it can turn into like kind of a bigger axe looking thing it can turn into a scythe and then the secondary attack changes that form into like heavy attacks it's basically heavy attacks you can hold a triangle to charge it up and like make maybe make a big hammer or make a big spear or something like that So you're mixing that in, you're hitting square and you're attacking. And then if an enemy comes in, you can dodge. So I would say closer to that and having no parry or anything like that, you have to kind of be on your toes.
