Jay Leno shares he got a new face after his old one caught fire. He recounts telling Dave, 'I'm on fire,' and Dave initially responding casually before realizing the seriousness. Leno says Dave pulled him out and smothered the flames with his own body. Doctors said ten more seconds and Leno would have lost an eye. He then drove home.

What happened, I was working on a car and I got a face full of gasoline, and it caught fire. I had been eating a flaming hot Dorito when I'd been into it. Oh my God, what a commercial. It set my face on, no, no, but it was, yeah, it was, it was, it was interesting. It was all third degree burns, it was pretty bad. It was pretty bad. You can't tell at all. No, now you think there'd be a zipper here or something, but no. No, that's what I'm saying. Like it's crazy. Only for the second time in my career, am I the new face of comedy? I got it once in the eighties and now I get it again. That's a brand new year.
