How Hal Jordan became Parallax. He started with his tough fight with Mongo when his arm and leg were both shattered, and then he came back to Coast City to see it all destroyed, so he tries to remake the entire city with his ring, but the ring's time limit was up so it all vanished, with the Guardian then showing up to tell Hal that because of this action, it would be taking the ring from him. Angry at this, Hal absorbs the Guardian's projection for power and then starts making his way to Oa, with the Guardian sending multiple Green Lanterns to stop Hal, but they all fail, with him taking all their rings in the process. Once he's beaten all of them, he gets to the Guardian, but as a last resort, they free Sineshro from his prison within the central battery. Hal ditches all his extra rings, just keeping the one to fight Sineshro, and Hal ends their fight by breaking Sineshro's neck and killing him. Kilowagnon tries to stop Hal again and Hal disintegrates him as he was no longer himself. After talking to the Guardians, he goes inside the central battery, absorbing its power and destroying it, revealing his turn into Parallax.
