GTA 6 Reflections Hardware Breakdown

von Fight Desk: Grand Theft Auto

The reason reflections in GTA 6 look noisy and blurry isn't because Rockstar Games doesn't know how to handle them or that a $2 billion budget magically solves the issue. It all comes down to the GPU in current gen consoles, which simply lack the power required for real-time high-resolution Ray Traced reflections, forcing corners to be cut. I am running GTA 5 Enhanced on PC at ultra settings to demonstrate how clean and good the reflections appear when you have high-end recent hardware equipped with AI upscaling to make this possible. The PS5 Pro console is significantly more powerful compared to the base PS5 where the GTA 6 footage was captured, offering higher resolution, 45% faster rendering, and 2X-3X better Ray Tracing performance alongside PSSR upscaling technology. With the PS5 Pro, reflections will be significantly sharper and better looking, approaching the quality seen on high-end PCs running GTA 5 Enhanced. However, the ultimate experience remains on PC when GTA 6 launches, potentially supporting the highest quality Ray Tracing or even Path Tracing if Rockstar Games decides to implement it.
