The rehearsal for that federal agent scene on the big old yacht was clearly not going well, and Kyle Chandler admits he nearly lost his spot in The Wolf Of Wall Street because of it. He remembers seeing Leo DiCaprio arrive wearing a hat and everything, but once they started doing the scene back on the boat, things felt off immediately. During a short break while sitting on the vessel, Chandler spotted Mr Scott walking on the dock and got genuinely nervous about the whole situation. Instead of panicking further, he shut down, retreated to a room, and analyzed exactly what wasn't working with the performance. Through that process, he came up with a specific idea: start getting angry at Leo's character. In the next take, he treated the character exactly like that anger demanded, which led to him laughing as he acted it out. Afterward, Leo approached him and confirmed that they finally got it.
