SpaceX has announced plans for its largest rocket launch site in southern Louisiana. The 125,000 arcs on Pekan Island will become its fourth launch location and second Starbase campus. The company plans to build a self-sustaining spaceport with its own metal production, power generation, vehicle process facilities, deep-water access, and even an airport. Construction is expected to begin in 2027 with the first Starship launch targeted for 2029. The complex could feature 10 Starships launch pad, potentially supporting thousands of flights every year.
