American wedding costs and the $30,000 dress debate
An American wedding runs past $30,000 on average, and the dress alone could be a house down payment instead. Skip the traditional dress costs, put that money toward a home, and the stress drops too. Normalizing cheaper weddings seems like the obvious move here.

Hey guys, Jamie from Mario's Team, and this is what I'm talking about. Don't be going out spending crazy money on wedding dresses. I see these girls going out spending tens of thousands of dollars on a wedding. Man, save that money and buy a house with it. Don't spend money on things like dresses and weddings. They're wonderful and great and all the things. But in hindsight, when you look back at it, in today's economy, That's a beautiful dress for $25.99 from Goodwill. And this girl's going to have a wonderful day and look just as beautiful as she would in a $5,000 dress. Kudos to her. And this should be the standard. Y'all have a great day.
