Ted Cruz calls out Jack Smith DOJ

    von Flint: Ted Cruz

Sen. Ted Cruz just went off on Special Counsel Jack Smith, accusing him of spying on Trump allies and snatching records from small-dollar donors without a warrant. The Texas senator wants criminal referrals and prosecution immediately because he sees this as the worst weaponization of the Department of Justice since Richard Nixon. He told Smith straight up that he succeeded where Nixon failed by targeting political opponents instead of enforcing the law impartially. Cruz called him a foot soldier for the DNC rather than an apolitical enforcer, noting that his abuses are far greater than John Mitchell ever managed. The message was clear: you'll be hailed as a hero in the resistance movement with your pink hat somewhere at home, but you brought the DOJ into total disrepute. And here is the kicker, those actions actually reelected Donald Trump because the people were disgusted by what Smith did. This Deep State agent has caused near-irreversible damage to the DOJ, a situation that might not have happened if Trump were president again.
