Starlink Mobile Panama +Móvil emergency texting

von Not A Charm: Mario Nawfal

Starlink Mobile just activated free satellite SMS for +Móvil subscribers across Panama after a magnitude 7.7 earthquake disabled cellular towers. Ordinary phones connected directly to orbiting satellites when terrestrial infrastructure failed, proving the service works without an external dish or dedicated hardware. Commercial launch of this specific capability occurred only weeks prior to the event. Mario Nawfal highlighted the connectivity status while Annette wrote and Janné designed the update. This demonstrates Starlink's utility during critical situations.
