NFT value vs screenshot debate
If NFTs were truly about the art, screenshotting would make them worthless just like printing a Charizard card. The Pokémon hobby relies on people claiming they love the art, but that's mostly cope for those who bought in emotionally first. Real collectors aren't enough to sustain buying pressure when prices drop and the logic falls apart. People decide with emotion then hunt for confirming logic, which is exactly how these markets work until the value evaporates. #Pokemon

NFTs will never have value because I can just take a screenshot of it and I have it too. Unfortunately, if the value is in the art and not some invisible cryptographic signature, which is the case, it will never, ever be successful. So that's another thing. That's another word that gets thrown around all the time within the Pokemon hobby is that they use the word art all the time. Like, oh, the art on this card is crazy. And it's just, it's Cope. It's Cope for like 90% of the people saying it, right? There are the passionate diehard collectors that want those people out of the hobby anyways, but them alone is not the kind of buying pressure that could make any of this sustainable. What is sales? People make decisions with emotion and then they attempt to back it up with logic. The art discussion is that. They've made an emotional driven decision that's been successful and sound that they're seeking out logic that confirms their thesis. If you're still into NFTs, you should definitely follow us because we talk about JPEGs more than we probably should.
