Nintendo beats PlayStation Xbox 2026
von 🔫 Not A Real Sugar: Forza Horizon 6
Everyone's asking who's having the worst week between PlayStation and Xbox lately, but nobody is giving credit to Nintendo for crushing both companies in 2026. The big three are shipping exclusives at different rates, yet the Metacritic averages tell a clearer story. When counting newly released first-party titles including remakes but excluding remasters, PlayStation sits at 77.5 based on six games while Xbox lands slightly higher at 78.33 also from six. Nintendo leads with 80.33, which is even more impressive since that average comes from nine games instead of six. That means three extra chances to tank the score, yet they still come out on top. Forza Horizon 6 remains the sole first-party game from these manufacturers to hit a 90 on Metacritic this year. Sony and Xbox get Grand Theft Auto VI, something you cannot play on Nintendo Switch 2, while Nintendo receives The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time remake. The performance gap between all three console makers stays narrow despite the volume difference. What is your preferred first-party game of 2026?
