Jack Clark $44 trillion GDP forecast
An IPO expected in November, valuation up to $2 trillion, and the headline number is $44 trillion for US GDP by 2030. That's Jack Clark, Anthropic co-founder, citing one internal model that assumes AI keeps improving and keeps spreading through the economy. Current GDP sits above $30 trillion, so you're looking at close to a 50% jump. He admits it sounds outlandish. There's also "a billion virtual scientists" in his framing, and a call for "unusual and serious rules" for AI and its builders.
