Aguilar on total war and Al Udeid

    von Jolyon: Israel

The withdrawal of US assets from Al Udeid is the tell, according to retired Green Beret Lt. Col. Anthony Aguilar. He reads it as a sign the conflict is heading somewhere worse, and he lays out what that looks like: "We're about to enter the phase of total war where power plants, desalination facilities, power generation, civil infrastructure bases, headquarters, those type of things are going to be struck harder." Behind that sits a reported Israeli target list covering Iranian generating stations and water infrastructure. Iran, by the same logic, would have grounds to hit comparable civilian sites. And the geography cuts both ways: for every water facility named on the Israeli side, there's a matching target waiting across the Gulf inside Iran.
