Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life
Hekiru Hikawa
Übersicht
Ryūsei Narukami spends his days as a NEET playing video games until Meteor Hanaori kicks down his door. She is a high school student who remembers her past life as the Hero who defeated him, and she wants an immediate rematch. The situation gets complicated because Ryūsei now works as a teacher at her school, forcing former enemies to navigate a strict professional boundary while hiding their magical abilities.
Hekiru Hikawa launched this reverse isekai in Kodansha's Monthly Morning Two on August 23, 2021. The artist brings kinetic energy to fight scenes while maintaining sharp comedic timing when Meteor tries to use magic for mundane tasks like grocery shopping or attending parent-teacher conferences. The story explores how two people defined by war struggle to find peace in a non-magical world.
Seven Seas Entertainment acquired the English license in December 2025 and released the series in omnibus hardcover editions. The first volume arrived in October 2026 with a second scheduled for February 23, 2027. Liden Films adapted the manga into a 12-episode anime that premiered in July 2026, featuring a same-day English dub that critics praised for its chemistry and humor.
