Overgeared

Shin Youngwoo logs into Satisfy, a virtual reality MMORPG, and stumbles upon a hidden class that rewrites the rules of the game. Unlike other players chasing glory through combat, Youngwoo adopts the name Grid and becomes a Legendary Blacksmith. His ability to forge unique, game-breaking items shifts the balance of power in the virtual world, allowing him to manipulate economies and influence political factions.

The web novel ran for nearly a decade on KakaoPage from November 2014 until April 2024. Over 2,000 chapters chronicled his evolution from a desperate player hoarding resources to a leader who must weigh greed against responsibility. The story stands out by focusing heavily on crafting mechanics and the economic consequences of player actions rather than just battles.

A visual adaptation arrived in April 2020 as a manhwa drawn by Team Argo and adapted by Monohumbug. This version visually depicts Grid's rise as a skilled blacksmith capable of equipping the game's most powerful gear. While no official English translation exists, fan translations circulated widely among international readers. [bearbeiten]
